Andrea Janes
Writer and Researcher
Andrea has been working in documentary production and distribution since 2002. She started as an intern at Five Spot Films, where one of her jobs was to log footage of an embalming process for a documentary about home funerals. She loved it. She subsequently worked for Paradigm Pictures in Toronto, Canada, and the NYC-based independent distributors Kino International and Women Make Movies, before returning to production with “Olmsted and America’s Urban Parks.” Andrea loves graveyards, ghost stories, and New York City history, and has combined the three into a book of short stories, “Boroughs of the Dead.” She is thrilled to bring a little darkness to Diva Communications.
